As part of its continued commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, the Commercial International Bank (CIB) has launched its Decarbonization Program in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), starting with a tailored event for key clients in the oil and gas sector.

Organized by CIB’s Global Corporate Relations and Sustainable Finance teams, the session introduced decarbonization pathways and practical tools that support companies in reducing carbon emissions, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing competitiveness in the transition toward a low-carbon economy.

This event marks the first in a series of sector-focused engagements under the Decarbonization Program, designed to support high-emission industries in navigating their energy transition by providing sustainable finance solutions and expert advisory.

Through this initiative, CIB reaffirms its role as a strategic partner to businesses across various sectors, actively contributing to the national and global agenda for climate action and sustainable development.

The bank plans to expand this program with similar events targeting other strategic sectors in the near future, aiming to accelerate decarbonization efforts and promote long-term sustainable growth within the Egyptian economy.
